Be The Hero Of Your Own Journey

Following on from our founder, Caroline’s, involvement in helping to support a Palestinian family to leave the devastation of Gaza, we are thrilled to be welcoming writer and storyteller Yousri Alghoul and his son Anas to headline our August camp, part of our Healing for Humanity Summer Camp Programme!

Drawing on themes of ‘grand narratives’, we explore the stories we tell ourselves about our individual and collective futures, whilst delving into ancient and modern storytelling techniques that have helped us make sense of the world. From the use of ‘Frozen Pictures’ to help us visually imagine a future embracing of all, to learning more about kamishibai as a foundation for manga, and the role of satire in speaking truth to power, this camp will help inspire you to be the author and hero of your own journey.

We are thrilled to be welcoming Palestinian writer Yousri Alghoul to our August camp, alongside Japanese kamishibai storyteller Hiromi Asai and Dong Fen from Hua Dan in China, leading a series of ‘Frozen Picture’ workshops, talks, writing workshops and storytelling performances to reimagine our collective futures.
