Chickenshed is an inclusive theatre company built on 50 years of practice working with children, young people and adults of all backgrounds, abilities and lived experiences. Our work is rooted in the belief that theatre can be a powerful tool for social change. Our aim is to create spaces where difference is not just accommodated, but actively valued. We bring together a wide range of learning styles, perspectives and experiences to build communities of practice that model a more inclusive world. This approach strongly aligns with the ethos of the Centre for the Arts and Global Leadership: using creativity to open up dialogue, challenge assumptions and create meaningful, shared understanding.

Ideas for Change
We all know our world is a mess! But is there anything we can do about it? Join us at Clos de Gaye for this monthly series where we introduce a new idea for making our world a better place. Ahead of the evening, you will be sent a short article to read or video to watch that introduces the core concepts being discussed, with additional research materials for you to dig into if wished. Then, enjoy a drink and discussion with others similarly committed to being a force for good and be inspired with how you can be part of the change!
