Chickenshed is an award-winning, UK-based theatre inclusive theatre company built on 50 years of practice working with children, young people and adults of all backgrounds, abilities and lived experiences. Our work is rooted in the belief that theatre can be a powerful tool for social change. Our aim is to create spaces where difference is not just accommodated, but actively valued. We bring together a wide range of learning styles, perspectives and experiences to build communities of practice that model a more inclusive world. This approach strongly aligns with the ethos of the Centre for the Arts and Global Leadership: using creativity to open up dialogue, challenge assumptions and create meaningful, shared understanding.
