our story

After an exciting career in international development and global leadership across the world, Caroline Watson relocated to the Bearn in 2022 with her husband Alexandre Fischer and their three children Chloe, Leah and Zac.  With a vision of bringing together artists, global visionaries, corporate and government leaders, young people, families and local communities to take part in inspirational experiences that bring about positive change Caroline set about transforming Clos de Gaye into a unique meeting place that aims to bring healing to our world.

Caroline is responsible for all aspects of the vision and leadership of Clos de Gaye’s projects and its relationship to the work of The Centre for the Arts and Global Leadership.  She is ably supported by a team of creatives and operational leads both locally and around the world.

With a successful career as a Christian Science practitioner and lecturer, Alexandre is her supportive spouse who also oversees the development of Fischer’s Farm, with a particular focus on beekeeping and honey-making.

Chloe, Leah and Zac have special responsibility for the animals on the property, especially the chickens, rabbits and cats.  They also excel in hospitality and general entertainment and are effusive with their hugs to make everyone feel warm and welcome at this very special place.
